ROAS from 2.0x to a sustained 5–6x weekly across six months.

Context

Reason had built a real brand but their account was leaking. Creative was stale, the funnel was over-segmented, and reporting only spoke in platform ROAS. The business was profitable, but spend couldn't scale without hurting margin.

Approach

  • Restructured the funnel into a clean cold-warm-hot path with lookalikes pulled from high-value pixel events.
  • Replaced the retargeting list with a three-stage narrative across awareness, consideration, and urgency.
  • Cleaned the pixel implementation and UTM mapping. ROAS stability improved before any new creative shipped.
  • Aligned messaging from ad to landing page to PDP.

What we'd handle differently

We spent too long on Meta in the first eight weeks. Branded Google search would have been a faster win. We caught it by month three, but the first six weeks left margin on the table.

Blended ROAS

In months 4–6, with around $70,000 of additional spend, ROAS climbed to roughly 4.5x on the strongest cohorts.

What we'd handle differently

Weekly creative testing was too aggressive for the bid algorithm to settle into a stable pattern. A 10–14 day testing window would have given the system room to optimize properly, especially on the higher daily budgets.
